Top auction sites - every bidders dream, but a nightmare to find!

It all depends on what type of things you are wanting to buy, because even though the big boys like ebay.com sell everything under the sun, the chances of finding a beter bargain on an independant specialis auction site are actually a lot better than you might think!

Jewlery, cars, fashion, computers, homes, furniture, electricals - anything you can think of can be bid on, and you can get items for many times less than their retail value. Trying to get them from a reputable dealer is a different matter, and while you might think that going to a jack of all trades like ebay is a good thing (and of course it is if you can wade theough the amount of crap that is put on there), a better solution might just be to try one of the specialist auction sites and grab a bargain there.

The advantages are that the owners will usually be very familiar with the products they are auctioning, thus giving them a distinct advantage over multi-market auction sites. They will not want inferior products being sold on their site. Also, because sellers know the advantages of selling on smaller sites (i.e.they get better service from the host) they are sometimes happy to make a little less than they would have done on a big site. This means the consumer - YOU! - can get a real bargain.

These auction sites are not as busy either, so there is less competition aginst other bidders, again leading to lower prices for you.
